Investment

We are a skin-in-the-game marketing value added investment firm that looks to invest in consumer-facing startups. We aim to unlock business value through timely marketing intervention and help our partner brands become the market leading and defining brands in their respective categories.

Consultancy

The marketing consultancy firm provides the push and the passion needed to elevate our partners onto bigger things in their brand journey, helping them become the brands of tomorrow. We partner businesses at the right stage to create a role for the brand in the growth story. We work in an integrated manner with the founder and the marketing teams of our partners to help flesh out the core customer proposition and then co-create go-to-market strategies and launch campaigns, seamlessly and efficiently.

We are not an army. And never will be. We want to be a few good people. A few very good people. Small teams attacking big problems – that’s the way we see ourselves.

Arun IyerFounding Partner

Arun Iyer has been in Advertising forever. Ok, not forever, but about 20 years. 16 of them in Lowe Lintas, one of India’s leading advertising agencies and the last 6 of them as Chief Creative Officer and the Chairman of the company. Arun has creatively impacted multiple brands in this country. They range from startups to large multinational companies and everything in between. Arun believes in transformation using creativity that stems from the core product backed by a clear proposition and a strong brand point of view. His biggest joy comes when this creativity can change the fortunes of the brands he works with. Show More

He considers it a privilege to have been a part of many such transformational journeys. With Byju’s he helped launch the brand and has been an integral part of the journey for the last 3 years. At Axis Bank he partnered with the marketing team to change the way the brand connects with its consumers across all touch points. For Swiggy he helped create differentiation in a tough, crowded market. With Google his focus was to take an iconic brand and product and make it relevant for every single Indian. He was instrumental in launching India’s first homegrown OTT platform, Hotstar. At Surf Excel, his core idea of ‘Daag ache hain’ made an international proposition relevant and endearing to the entire nation. Under his creative leadership Tanishq became one of the most trusted jewellery brands in India. And Fastrack, which has been one of India’s most edgy brand is a testament to his own youthfulness. Arun wears his experience lightly and believes that his journey has just begun. And is super inspired by the Spring founders who treat each day – irrespective of their past accomplishments – as if it was their first. And fear that it could be their last.Show Less

The founders he worked with at Sequoia brought a variety of diverse opportunities and challenges to the table and helped Raja decide what he wanted to do with the rest of his life – work closely with founders and founding teams. His raison d’être is to look at business challenges through the lens of marketing with a skin-in-the-game, long term approach to help build the brands of tomorrow. And that’s exactly what he seeks to do at Spring. Raja is an eternal optimist and believes strongly that creativity and entrepreneurship can change the world. He is thrilled that Spring has an opportunity to work with founders who hate the status quo, believe in positive impact and are never satisfied with the past.Show Less

Vineet Gupta Founding Partner

Vineet co-founded and built a digital marketing agency at a point in time when the category did not exist and ‘Digital’ was far from being the ubiquitous word it has become today. The agency he helped create – 22 feet – became a pioneer in the business, and was acquired by the Omnicom Group. In turn, Vineet went on to become the CEO of the DDB Mudra group. More importantly, Vineet also realised his true calling – to help build brands for a new age and a new world. Making brands tick in the dynamic, digital world of today makes Vineet tick and that’s what he is doing at Spring.Show More

He also loves the fact that he is now doing the same for the brands of tomorrow. Vineet loves the change, the flux and the new learnings that are forced on him thanks to this choice he has made. He would like to be known as someone who never stopped learning. He is one of the few people who enrols for online learning courses and actually completes those courses. Vineet is working with a diverse set of businesses, helping them connect with the consumer of today, aiding brands to navigate the ever-changing digital environment in which they find themselves. Royal Enfield, Nike, Levi’s, Puma, Tanishq, Fastrack, Spotify, Kingfisher and Netflix are some of the brands that he has partnered with in his earlier roles. Vineet is also a great people’s person. Born out of a strong belief that people – not money, not corporates, not structures – make everything happen. He invests heavily in the people around him and with him, and this, more than anything else defines his approach to life and Spring.Show Less
