Arun Iyer has been in Advertising forever. Ok, not forever, but about 20 years. 16 of them in Lowe Lintas, one of India’s leading advertising agencies and the last 6 of them as Chief Creative Officer and the Chairman of the company. Arun has creatively impacted multiple brands in this country. They range from startups to large multinational companies and everything in between. Arun believes in transformation using creativity that stems from the core product backed by a clear proposition and a strong brand point of view. His biggest joy comes when this creativity can change the fortunes of the brands he works with.
He considers it a privilege to have been a part of many such transformational journeys. With Byju’s he helped launch the brand and has been an integral part of the journey for the last 3 years. At Axis Bank he partnered with the marketing team to change the way the brand connects with its consumers across all touch points. For Swiggy he helped create differentiation in a tough, crowded market. With Google his focus was to take an iconic brand and product and make it relevant for every single Indian. He was instrumental in launching India’s first homegrown OTT platform, Hotstar. At Surf Excel, his core idea of ‘Daag ache hain’ made an international proposition relevant and endearing to the entire nation. Under his creative leadership Tanishq became one of the most trusted jewellery brands in India. And Fastrack, which has been one of India’s most edgy brand is a testament to his own youthfulness. Arun wears his experience lightly and believes that his journey has just begun. And is super inspired by the Spring founders who treat each day – irrespective of their past accomplishments – as if it was their first. And fear that it could be their last.
